In a medium bowl whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Pour batter into a shallow pan. Place bread into batter and soak for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until thoroughly soaked. Keep bread in batter for longer as needed if it is thick or stale.
Preheat a griddle or skillet on medium heat. Grease pan with butter or nonstick spray. Place bread on pan and cook for about 4-6 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked through.
